The Highlights! Nov. 28- Dec. 2, 2022

Peers used different medias such as pens, pastels and wipe off markers to create portraits and drawings of themselves and family members. Pens seem to aid in creating more fine details like fingers and toes and some friends even added color after. The children watch and learn from each other as well as from the educators.

A new interest in using shapes to help us draw things like cars and trains has emerged as well…

We used our loose parts to create faces and bodies in creative ways…

The preschoolers used foam plates, woodies and glue to make faces. They added additional features like a tongue and legs. We have hung our creations in the classroom with pride.

The children are really using their imaginations to come up with new and interesting ways to develop obstacle courses. They have learned to put their hands out to balance themselves and love jumping off the crates.

Construction and races are popular activities on the playground…

Bowling, hockey, and soccer promotes accuracy, turn taking and team work.

Christmas is in the air! They loved decorating the tree and room. Santa is our favorite!

Peers looked through toy catalogues and choosing things they would like for Christmas as well as a new Christmas puzzle and village pieces to role play with.

Water play is a great way to promote engagement and focus. Peers chose to add color, people and cars.

The marble maze is great way to develop problem solving skills…

A new toy has been offered that also fosters this skill. They are creating vehicles and ladders using the open-ended materials.
