In our sensory been we added some blue sand and polar bears. We had fun collecting the sand and filling up with a variety of containers. We enjoyed scooping up the sand with our hands and feeling and watching it fall through our fingers.
We worked on our jumping off from a step stool this week. We first had to work on the balancing on a small platform and then stepping down or jumping. Way to go toddlers.
We live in a building world right now, with all the construction happening around us. So we took some building toy out for the toddlers to explore with turning with hands or the tool. And just letting them go and adding and figuring out how things work this week.
We did some more gluing to our cardboard of loose parts. We added some yarn this week. We enjoyed dipping the string into the glue and watching it drip off of the string onto the card baord! We are busy making a masterpiece.
We continue to explore with all our new loose parts at the table this week. We built with them, feel them and exploring the texture of them. We even placing them inside different containers.
First snow fall for our toddlers friends. We took out the shovels and working on shoveling up the snow and dumping it off.
Our new interest this week has been to ride the scooters! We have demonstrated how to step on it and push it and some of our friends have been working hard on being able to accomplish this task! Hard work pays off and they have never looked prouder of themselves!
Continuing out cutting skills this week we tried oranges. We challenged our friends to cut an orange. Can a knife cut it? We discovered it was difficult to cut, but if we used our tiny fingers, we could peel to skin to reveal the yummy orange. Tasty, delicious reward at the end.
