Our Week in Review – October 24-28, 2022

The preschoolers challenged to help paint a banner for Halloween where they had to paint letters.

Using the plastic coloured plates, the preschoolers sorted small rubber toys, wooden blocks and light table letters by colour using tongs to transfer them.

The preschoolers discovered that by sticking jewels, bottle caps, and other small items into play dough, they were able to leave an indent in it.

We brought in a floam like texture for the preschoolers to explore in the sensory bin. The way it fell apart on its own made the preschoolers think there were bugs in there.

The preschoolers continue to practice their fine motor skills by threading beads onto pipe cleaners to make jewelry.

The construction zone role-play continued with the preschoolers exploring a plastic crane which they used to move cars and blocks around.

After completing the obstacle course outside, a few preschoolers began using it to jump over, seeing how far they could go.

A traffic light was set up on the playground for the preschoolers to stop at with their bikes where friends stood to tell them to go or stop.

A few preschoolers practiced their aim with some rubber balls on a small basketball hoop outside. Sometimes the ball would get stuck in the hoop requiring them to problem solve getting it out.

The preschoolers were hard at work building with our new outdoor wooden blocks. Some built tall towers while other built houses for animals and ramps for cars.
