Week in glance (May 16-20, 2022)

This week, as always, we were very busy learning, playing and discovering the world around us! We took care of our snails and worms. When we searched on the web, we learned that worms like to eat vegetable peels and paper. Preschoolers used their cutting skills to cut some carrot peels and paper and feed the wormies! We read a book about snails and learned about their anatomy and different types of snails.

Preschoolers helped with planting lettuce, pepper, tomato seedlings in the garden.  We planted some colorful flowers too!

Based on friends' interest in building "houses",we brought in some sheets and built forts inside our classroom.  Peers chose what they want to bring to the fort/tent and how they want to hang out with their friends.

Following our interest in rainbow and colors, this week we did an experiment to create rainbow colors from basic colors. Preschoolers were curious how the water is going to move from a cup to another cup and predicted which color is going to climb the tissue faster!

We visited our experiment the next day and peers excitedly described their observations!

We keep on encouraging preschoolers to make prizes for those who win in outdoor races. This week we painted pots, glued our favorite thing on them and made our very own trophies!

We revisited our corn that we hang it for birds. Seems like the birds did not like the corn on the cub! So we decided to separate the kernels, put in a bowl and see if the birdies like it more this way!
