This Week’s Discoveries!! Nov 15-19, 2021

This week outdoors, the children continue to practice team work, turn taking , balancing and other gross motor skills with the obstacle course.



We continue to challenge ourselves with the rope swing or jumping off the gazebo. They have enjoyed taking care of babies outside. What kind and caring preschoolers!

Peer connections are happening when peers help fix their friends bikes or row row together.

Collecting leaves was a spontaneous child led activity that continued inside...

Baby care is very popular these days. We continue to enjoy dressing and putting our babies to bed. This week we offered real band aids to extend the doctor care.

They chose to make put them on the babies and ake them feel better. What empathetic preschoolers.

Imitating adults continues as well as, peers prepare milk, wash dishes and sweep the floor.

We support investigation and inquiry by offering a real crayfish for peers to observe.

The children noticed some growth in our herb garden, so exciting! They using the watering can.


We support the senses through sand play and magnetic exploration.

Our creative skills continue with drawing  and painting recognizable pictures.

We are learning to rinse between colors and how to make colors more vibrant.

A completing child led activity of collecting leaves was initiated by a child and this inspired peers to join. Some chose to color o the leaves, while others painted the and some wanted to do leaf rubbings. What a great example of peer to peer learning!
