This Week’s Discoveries Oct. 4-8, 2021

We started the week with a rainy morning and oh did we have fun in it! We loved the way the bubbles stuck to the wet ground and how vibrant the chalk was on the wet chalkboard. But most of all we loved splashing in puddles!!

Peers are getting braver and more inventive while on the rope swing. Great job guys!!

We foster our social skills while playing hockey and What time is it Mr Wolf.

The children test their endurance while participating in bike and running races. Ready, set, go!!

Inside, we have been developing our fine motor skills through a variety of activities.

The children have been quite interested in the alphabet, writing, letter tracing and drawing.

We continue to explore many art medias. Pastels, watercolor pencils and water color paints seem to be the most popular choices this week.

We continue to encourage appropriate use tools and materials and have seen such amazing, intentional pictures created by the children.

Their creativity never seizes to amaze whether we are building with magnet tiles or blocks. The peer connections during these experiences are incredible to witness as well.

Water play is a time of great focus, investigation and cause and effect.

The addition of new a variety of musical instruments has inspired friends to sing and perform.

We have watched green tomatoes picked from our veggie garden turn red in the window, over the last week.

It was a yummy treat to cut them up and eat them with ranch dip of course, and we always clean up after ourselves!
