We are getting comfortable as group and we are seeing many interests and discoveries.
Some worms and slugs were brought in for the children to observe and oh boy did we enjoy watching and touching them. This experience brings children together and rich discussion occurs regarding their thoughts and theories regarding these living creatures.
Many forms of literacy have been observed whether it is a peer writing their name on the chalkboard or looking at a book with a friend.
We continue to offer many forms of art media fort he children to explore. Peers are learning how to use tools and materials appropriately. We are learning how glue and items ca be used to make things like birds.
We are learning how to use water color paints; first water then paint then paper.
The blocks were used in variety of ways. Such as dominos and intricate structures.
The children added dump trucks and superheroes to extend their play with the blocks.
Lots of role play has been exhibited this week. Peers love to make smoothies or sandwiches and dress up and pretend to go to the beach. Don't forget your sunscreen!
Outdoors we have been so interested in the construction, watching and listening and trying to identify what construction vehicle makes what sound.
We love to create sandcastles and then destroy them!
The chalkboard is a great place for children to build relationships and draw creatively.
The preschoolers have loved eating the chives these days and creating unique obstacle courses using a variety of materials.
We encourage risk taking experiences like swinging on the rope. Peers are learning to wait their turn and believe in themselves. You can do it!!
We can't wait to see what we will discover next week!
